Be Part of Change.
At the general election, almost a quarter of Brentwood & Ongar voters backed Labour – many for the first time. Here is what you can do to help us build on this:
- Join the Labour Party – when you register and give your address, you automatically become a member of Brentwood & Ongar Labour and get added to our mailing list if you have a postcode in our constituency.
- Meet members online – once you receive our emails, you will receive the link to our WhatsApp community. We have group chats you can join for general discussion, Brentwood campaigns, and Ongar campaigns.
- Go to our events – as a member, you get invited to our events. These can either be meetings, which are held most months and give you a say on how we are run, or socials, where we either listen to a speaker or discuss an issue in a more informal setting.
- Campaign for us – even if you are not a member, we love it when anyone offers to deliver leaflets or knock on doors with us to get our message out. If you would like to help, please contact us here.
- Follow our social media – one of the easiest ways to help us is to like, share, and comment on our Facebook posts. You can follow our page here.
- Stand for election – we hold an Annual General Meeting each June, in which you can take a role in our Executive Committee. You can also put yourself forward for public office, with local elections planned in two years. We are here to help provide training for anyone who wants it.
We know how busy our lives can be, so any help you can give to us is massively appreciated. Our website contains information on our history, who we are, what we stand for, and what we are up to. If you have any further questions, either contact us here or speak to us at one of our events or campaign sessions.
